<aside> 💡 Hi there! I am so glad you are here and I can’t wait for you to get into your dream school. Below is a template that I used to track my applications before I got into Columbia Business School. I sincerely hope you find it helpful! If you have any questions regarding this template or my grad school application experience, please don’t hesitate to DM me on instagram @dimpledhawan. Good luck! -Dimple D.

<aside> 💡 The first table, “Basic Overview”, is meant to summarize the basic details for each university you are interested in. Feel free to make this as detailed as you would like. I chose to stick to the basic characteristics (and ones I cared about the most) such as location, cost of attendance, and what stuck out to me while researching about the program.

<aside> 💡 The second table, “Application Details”, is for all your application details. This is meant to be your one-stop shop for all MBA application questions - when is my application due, what are they looking for in each of their recommendations, etc. Summarizing this information does a few things for you: A. it ensures you have answers to your basic questions well ahead of time and B. it saves time when you need to cross-check information and avoid checking out 5 different websites.

<aside> 💡 The third table, “Personal Notes”, is mean to be a safe space for your thoughts - this could include anything that sticks out to you while speaking with program students or alum, it could be thoughts that pop up while brainstorming ideas for your essays, etc. For me, it was meant to be a vault that I could access when I randomly thought of an essay idea or even when I spoke with certain alum who shared application tips.
